A NEW service addition to Lifeline is the "Healthcare Directives" option.

Another new service addition to Lifeline of NWA is the "Healthcare Directives" option. This optional service, provides centralized storage of subscribers Advanced Directive documents and will automatically distribute these documents to healthcare providers in the event of a medical emergency. Here's how it works. An existing Lifeline subscriber simply completes a special enrollment form with pertinent information such as emergency contacts, personal physician's name, organ donor information and medical insurance information. Two copies of the client's Living Will and other personal preference wishes are submitted to the Lifeline program. Lifeline will safely store these documents to ensure privacy and easy access in the event of an emergency. This is a wonderful low cost option added to a clients current service. This is a great way for people to simplify an important detail of their healthcare. If a Lifeline subscriber is taken to the hospital after pressing their Lifeline button, our Call Center will fax their stored information to the admitting hospital. It can give more piece of mind just knowing that their wishes are communicated to the right people at the righ time.

There is no additional monthly cost for this new service. A one-time enrollment fee of $35 covers the cost of processing and storing the subscriber's Advance Direct documents.
